COACHING
The below items are required to sign up as a coach with the Hawks.
THE SHIFT FORWARD
Previously, coaches and assistant coaches were required to complete a course called Respect in Sport Activity Leader. This is being phased out and the new course is called The Shift Forward - Coach.
If you have Respect in Sport Activity Leader and it is valid for another year, you can skip this. If you are new to coaching or your RISAL has expired, you'll need to sign up for The Shift Forward - Coach through Spordle. All fees will be reimbursed to you once you are rostered on a Hawks team.

If you are a new coach, please complete the RIS Activity Leader course before signing up in Spordle.
If you are associated with another organization either from your playing days or from previous seasons coaching or officiating, the Hawks will need to request a transfer for you. Please email registrar@hawksathletics.ca to request a transfer. We'll need your full name and date of birth in order to track down your Spordle account.
Background Check
All coaches are required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) every three years. Your background check must have been done within the last two years in order to be valid for the coming season. If you have one on hand from another sport or from your job, you may also send that our way. The Hawks will request the background check on your behalf and you will be responsible for providing the PDF when it is finished. Email registrar@hawksathletics.ca if you need more information.
