evaluation appeal submission

If a player’s family disagrees with the player’s placement after evaluations, the family may request a review of the placement by filing an Evaluation Appeal. The appeal must be submitted within 48 hours of the Hawks Athletic Club sending a placement notification message to the player’s family.

The family’s concerns are then reviewed by an Evaluation Appeal Committee.

The following are not acceptable reasons for an appeal, and appeals made for such reasons will be denied.

  • Desire to play with a specific player or players on another team.
  • Desire to play for a specific coach or assistant coach.
  • Desire not to play with a specific player or players on the assigned team, unless there are extenuating situations.
  • Desire not to play for a specific coach or assistant coach on the assigned team, unless there are extenuating situations.
  • Previous year(s) performance and/or placement alone.
  • Placement in relation to another specific player or players.

The appeal must also be accompanied by a $150 deposit. The deposit will be refunded if the appeal is successful. The deposit will not be refunded if the appeal does not change the outcome.
