Our U13 program is dedicated to fostering skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is a seasoned player or new to the sport, the Hawks offer the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and excel on the ice.

At Hawks Athletic Club, we believe in providing a comprehensive hockey experience. Our experienced coaches are passionate about teaching the fundamentals of the game while emphasizing the importance of fair play and respect for others. Through structured practices and games, players will improve their skating, shooting, and defensive skills, all while building friendships with their teammates.

FAQ

I'm brand new to hockey. How do I register?

The first step in deciding where to register for hockey is to determine if you live in our zone. You can see the zone maps here. Click "Federation Hockey Boundaries" on the left and you can find your address on the map and see which Minor Hockey Association boundaries you live in.

If you do live in Hawks boundaries, the next step in registering a brand new family/player is to complete the Respect in Sport Parent Online Course (RISP) which will be valid for four years: https://hockeyalbertaparent.respectgroupinc.com/koala_final/

Make sure to select NW HAWKS as the association [screenshot here] which will then create an account for you in Spordle.

Once you have finished Respect in Sport, please fill out the Parent Declaration Form: https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/parent-declaration-form/

Enter registrar@hawksathletics.ca in the MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION SUBMISSION box [screenshot here], and attach your player's Birth Certificate, Alberta Healthcare Card, and a utility bill showing your name and address.

Once you have done all this, you can register your player here, providing registration is open: Home Page | NW HAWKS (spordle.com).

My child has never played organized hockey before. Will they be behind in skill level?
